Week 6 Records - Phil Costin (WL) & ACAC Medley Relay
One record was broken and another tied during the last regular season meet of the year. Congratulations to the following swimmers:
Phil Costin (Woodlake) tied the 13-14 boys 100 yard freestyle record. His time of 50.30 equaled the time of Patrick Veltman set in 2003.
The ACAC 11-12 Mixed Medley relay team of Thomas Rose, Maclane Smith, Anna Giered and Morgan Burton smashed the record in the event. The previous record was set by Robious (Horvath, Monahan, Bell, Richey) in 1999 with a time of 2:19.81. ACAC's time was 2:15.52.

New Records set this week (Note: Phil Costin actually set the 13-14 Boys 50 Meter Freestyle record during the first meet of the season, however, due to a records error, it was not identified. until we had already announced Christian Stryker from Smoketree had set the record).
Phil Costin from Woodlake broke the 13-14 boys 50 Meter freestyle record with a time of 26.33 set on 06/17/14, breaking the record set by Christian Stryker from Smoketree with a time of 26.83 set on the same date.
Kate Nezelek from Woodlake broke the almost 30 year old record in the 15-18 girls 50 yard backstroke with a time of 27.59 set on 06/24/14. The previous record holder was Heather Coulson from Bon Air with a time of 28.44 set in 1986.
Caroline Nezelek (WL) & Christian Strycker (SM) break records
Caroline Nezelek (Woodlake) broke the 10 and under girls 100 Meter IM record with a time of 1:18.68. Caroline broke a record set by Meggin Hubbard (Briarwood/ACAC) in 1995 with a time of 1;18.88.
Christian Strycker (SM) broke two records in the 13-14 Boys Age Group. Christian set a record in the 100 Meter IM with a time of 1:03.71 breaking the record set by Josh York (Woodlake) in 1910 with a time of 1:04.02. Christian also broke the 50 meter boys freestyle record with a time of 26.83 breaking the record set by Kolin Hoffman (Granite) set last year with a time of 27.39.
